If you've never gotten a spray tan before, the pricing can be confusing. A quick search for "spray tan near me" pulls up everything from $25 walk-in specials to $75+ custom sessions. So what's the actual difference — and what should you expect to pay in the Orlando and Central Florida area?
Typical Spray Tan Prices in Orlando
Here's what you'll generally see:
- $25–$35 — Automated spray tan booths (you stand in a machine, no customization)
- $40–$55 — Airbrush spray tan at a salon with a technician, usually a quick in-and-out
- $55–$75+ — Custom airbrush tan in a private studio with shade consultation, prep check, and aftercare guidance
The price difference comes down to three things: who's applying it, what solution they're using, and how much time they spend with you.
What You're Actually Paying For
A booth tan sprays the same formula at the same angle on every body. It's fast and cheap, but it can miss spots, pool in creases, and there's no one there to adjust anything for your skin tone.
A custom airbrush tan with a real esthetician is a different experience. At 33 Esthetics, here's what's included in every spray tan:
- Shade consultation — we talk through what you want and what will look most natural on your skin tone
- Skin prep check — making sure your skin is ready so the tan develops evenly
- Rapid formula — you control the depth by choosing when to rinse (2 hours for lighter, 6–8 for deeper)
- Private studio — no salon traffic, no awkward waiting areas
- Full aftercare guidance — including a prep and aftercare guide so your tan lasts 7–10 days
What a Spray Tan Costs at 33 Esthetics
A custom spray tan at 33 Esthetics is $65. The whole appointment takes about 30 minutes.
If it's your first time, your first spray tan is $40 — specifically so we can dial in your shade without any pressure. Most people end up with a slightly different preference than they expected, and that's completely normal. Book your first spray tan here.
Is a Custom Spray Tan Worth It?
If you've only ever used a booth, the difference is immediately obvious. The coverage is more even, the color looks more natural, and it fades better because the application was done by hand — not by a machine guessing where your body is.
The people who book with me once almost always come back. Not because I'm upselling them — because the result is just better, and they can see it.
How to Make It Last Longer
The biggest factor in how long your spray tan lasts isn't the price — it's your prep and aftercare. I wrote a full guide on this: How to Prep for Your Spray Tan (and Make It Last). The short version:
- Exfoliate the day before (not the day of)
- Skip lotion, deodorant, and oils on the day of
- Wear loose, dark clothing
- Moisturize daily after your first rinse
Ready to try it? Book your appointment or send me a message on Instagram if you have questions. If you're new to the studio, your first spray tan is just $40.
