Spray tan pricing guide for Orlando and Central Florida by 33 Esthetics

A spray tan typically costs between $25 and $75+, depending on the type of service. Automated booth tans run $25–$35, basic airbrush tans at a salon are $40–$55, and a custom airbrush tan in a private studio with a real esthetician is $55–$75+. At 33 Esthetics in Longwood, FL, a custom spray tan is $65 — and your first tan is $40.

If you've never gotten a spray tan before, the pricing can be confusing. A quick search for "spray tan near me" pulls up everything from $25 walk-in specials to $75+ custom sessions. So what's the actual difference — and what should you expect to pay in the Orlando and Central Florida area?

Typical Spray Tan Prices in Orlando

Here's what you'll generally see:

The price difference comes down to three things: who's applying it, what solution they're using, and how much time they spend with you.

What You're Actually Paying For

A booth tan sprays the same formula at the same angle on every body. It's fast and cheap, but it can miss spots, pool in creases, and there's no one there to adjust anything for your skin tone.

A custom airbrush tan with a real esthetician is a different experience. At 33 Esthetics, here's what's included in every spray tan:

What a Spray Tan Costs at 33 Esthetics

A custom spray tan at 33 Esthetics is $65. The whole appointment takes about 30 minutes.

If it's your first time, your first spray tan is $40 — specifically so we can dial in your shade without any pressure. Most people end up with a slightly different preference than they expected, and that's completely normal. Book your first spray tan here.

Is a Custom Spray Tan Worth It?

If you've only ever used a booth, the difference is immediately obvious. The coverage is more even, the color looks more natural, and it fades better because the application was done by hand — not by a machine guessing where your body is.

The people who book with me once almost always come back. Not because I'm upselling them — because the result is just better, and they can see it.

How to Make It Last Longer

The biggest factor in how long your spray tan lasts isn't the price — it's your prep and aftercare. I wrote a full guide on this: How to Prep for Your Spray Tan (and Make It Last). The short version:

  1. Exfoliate the day before (not the day of)
  2. Skip lotion, deodorant, and oils on the day of
  3. Wear loose, dark clothing
  4. Moisturize daily after your first rinse
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a spray tan cost in Orlando?

Spray tan prices in Orlando typically range from $25–$35 for automated booth tans, $40–$55 for a basic airbrush tan at a salon, and $55–$75+ for a custom airbrush tan in a private studio. At 33 Esthetics in Longwood, a custom spray tan is $65. First-time clients pay $40 — a low-pressure way to dial in your shade before committing to the full price.

How long does a spray tan last?

A spray tan typically lasts 7 to 10 days with proper aftercare. The biggest factors are how well you prep beforehand (exfoliating the day before matters) and how you care for it after (daily moisturizing, avoiding long hot showers). Drier skin tends to fade faster. Read the full breakdown in the spray tan prep and aftercare guide.

How long does a spray tan appointment take?

About 30 minutes total — that includes a shade consultation, the application, and aftercare instructions. The actual spray takes around 10 minutes. You leave dry and ready to go about your day.

Will a spray tan look orange?

A quality custom spray tan shouldn't look orange. The orange result usually comes from low-quality DHA formulas, wrong shade selection, or skipping skin prep. At 33 Esthetics, we use a professional rapid formula and do a shade consultation before every session so the result looks natural on your skin tone. If you're curious about what causes that orange look at a chemical level, I wrote a post on it: What Is DHA? The Science Behind Your Spray Tan.

Should I shave before a spray tan?

Yes — shave at least 24 hours before your appointment, not the day of. Shaving opens the hair follicles slightly, and spraying over freshly shaved skin can cause the solution to settle into those openings and create a dotted appearance. The day before gives your skin time to close back up before the tan goes on.

When can I shower after a spray tan?

With the rapid-development formula we use, you can shower after 2 to 8 hours depending on how deep you want the color. Rinsing at 2 hours gives a lighter, more natural result. Waiting 6–8 hours gives a deeper tan. Your first rinse should be a quick lukewarm shower — no soap on your body, just water to rinse off the bronzer guide color.
